伦敦大学亚非学院教授、中东研究所主任
Adam Hanieh教授现任伦敦大学亚非学院（SOAS）中东研究所主任，MBI贾贝尔中东研究讲席教授，以及伦敦大学亚非学院发展研究系教授。
他目前的研究聚焦化石燃料与气候危机之间的相互作用，特别关注中东地区海湾国家。
他著有四部专著，其中《货币、市场与君主制：海湾合作委员会与当代中东的政治经济》（剑桥大学出版社，2018年）荣获2019年英国国际研究协会国际政治经济学小组最佳图书奖，《原油资本主义：石油、企业权力与世界市场的形成》（维斯托出版社，2024年）荣获美国社会学协会全球与跨国研究分会2025年度“国际学者最佳图书”奖。
Adam Hanieh教授将于2026年4月9日至5月16日在复旦发展研究院从事访问研究工作。
Adam Hanieh is Director of the SOAS Middle East Institute, MBI Jaber Chair of Middle East Studies and Professor in the Development Studies Department at SOAS, University of London.
His current research looks at the interplay of fossil fuels and the climate emergency, with a particular focus on the Gulf states of the Middle East.
He is the author of four monographs, including Money, Markets, and Monarchies: The Gulf Cooperation Council and the Political Economy of the Contemporary Middle East (Cambridge University Press, 2018), which won the 2019 British International Studies Association IPE Group Book and Crude Capitalism: Oil, Corporate Power, and the Making of the World Market (Verso 2024), which was co-winner of the 2025 Best Book by an International Scholar, Global and Transnational Section of the American Sociological Association.
Adam Hanieh will be a visiting scholar at Fudan Development Institute from April 9 to May 16, 2026.
